Quote of the day.
"I'm quite a normal person. Will I slap a colleague in friendship? It's certainly possible. Perhaps, if these these things were normal, you don't remember them...You might just do it now and again if you felt so disposed, if you had a sensible, friendly relationship with an individual...But do I go around pinching bottoms? Certainly not. I'm a Conservative."
Sir Nicholas Winterton after he slapped a female Labour MP’s bottom in front of her stunned colleagues.
A bit of a damp squib from the Mirror for bonfire night after James Lyons had been hinting at a scandal. It is just a rehash of what @KerryMP twittered on Tuesday. I can't see Ann Winterton getting too upset over this.
I must point out that I do not endorse the unsolicited slapping of bottoms, not even if they are Labour MPs bottoms. Faces maybe but the slapping of bottoms is best kept to consenting adults.
